The Story of "She" - Five Minute Fridays

This is part of Lisa-Jo Baker's Five Minute Friday.  This week's word is "She," and you can find all of the details here.

She is beautiful
Each day she grows more so
I know He loves her and I know she loves Him.
I can see it
In the way she treats others
In the way she carries respect for those who might not ask for it
In the way she stands up for those who need a guardian, a protector, a friend

She is beautiful
She loves her sister too
She waits for her
She talks with her
She laughs into the night, after the lights have been turned off
She has a heart that is tender
Toward her friends
Toward her sister

She is beautiful
She carries burdens of others
She prays
She fears
She prays some more

She is beautiful
She is kind
She is learning about herself and about her God
She knows the Truth

She is beautiful

Five Minute Friday

  1. Stopping by from FMF and fondly remembering these times with my own sister: "She laughs into the night, after the lights have been turned off". Your she's are a gift.

  2. Thanks for visiting Kelly! Glad to hear you remember those times with your sister as good times. I pray my "she's" will too.

  3. Such a sweet story about sisters. I have one brother, no sisters. Some girlfriends I have adopted as sisters. But, it is not the same.

The refrain, "She is beautiful," is very powerful, as you describe her character and not her features.
And the poem is beautiful for that reason.
    Thank you.:)
Stopping by from Five minute Friday.

    1. How wonderful you have some "adopted" sisters! I think those relationships can be very strong - even if they aren't connected by DNA... :)

It would be great to hear your thoughts!
